My next day in and around Austin, Texas I went on an adventure West of the city, to see some wilderness after that I ended up at in the city of Cedar Park. I almost was drawn to getting the one of their specialty burgers called the cheese pour a burger topped with a 10 inch diameter “pour” of melted cheddar cheese, the picture looked good but I went with BBQ. I wasn’t really that thrilled with the BBQ at J&J and after the fact wished I had got the cheese pour just for the simple fact that it would have been awesome to talk about.
Here my is 2 Meat Plate with Brisket and Sausage, along with cole slaw and macaroni and cheese. The brisket was average, the sausage was ok, the sides were pretty much throw-ins.
I suggest that if you come to J&J you either get their breakfast tacos (the guys I trained raved about them) or try something that isn’t BBQ on the menu, like the fried catfish, this older gentleman was raving about it to the cook.
