McDonald’s Mexican Style Salsa

I realize I’m going to probably lose what little foodie credibility I have, but I have to share and see what others think of the McDonald’s Mexican Style Salsa.  It’s a unique spicy and thick sauce that makes just about anything you put it on exponentially better.  It reminds me of another sauce packet that they used to have years ago.

I have a deep dark secret, I used to work at a McDonald’s back when I was in High School.  It’s not something I’m ashamed of though, because I learned a lot about how the business works while I was there.  I worked in every aspect of the restaurant, drive thru, grill, and counter, I even trained others, which I guess sort of lead me to my career path.  One of my favorite things I found while I worked at McDonald’s was the Jalapeno Relish.  I would mix up myself a special spicy thousand island dressing, with 2 packs of ketchup, a pack of mayo, and a pack of jalapeno relish, it was and still remains the best dipping sauce I’ve ever had for french fries.  Unfortunately it seems that the McDonald’s Jalapeno Relish is no longer available in the USA.  I used to share my concoction with anyone I’d eat at McDonald’s with,  it is a sad loss to all of us that it’s gone.  Even after all these years and all my other meals I’ve had, I must admit I still like McDonald’s from time to time.  My favorite McDonald’s meal remains to this day the Big-Mac, sure it’s not gourmet eats and not going to challenge for best burger in the world, but it’s still a solid burger in the world of fast food.
