I don’t have any other news to report other than this morning while making my way to work I encountered this sign and construction for Albertaco’s. Albertaco’s is a Alberto’s knockoff, but even though it’s a knockoff it’s usually just as good if not better, time will tell how this location fares.
It’s at the former location of Golden Fire Drive In at the Southwest corner of Glassell and Collins. I would figure we would see Albertaco’s opening up in a couple of months considering they just started the work about a week ago. More news once I find out!

I’ve been wondering what they were going to put in there. Seems like a good location and should fare well. I drive by it every Saturday on the way to the Farmer’s Market, so if they have breakfast, I’ll definitely give their burritos a try.
I just home they do their taquitos the right way. Taquitos, guacamole, and CHEESE! And that the guacamole is decent, not the crap that you get at some places like this.
