Yesterday I review Piaggio Gourmet on Wheels from my visit to the Anaheim Farmers Market and today I’m doing a quick review of Crepes Bonaparte another food truck that travels around Orange County.
Crepes Bonaparte makes crepes (click here for the truck menu). Honestly these aren’t your everyday run of the mill crepes that you get at IHOP, these are made to order fresh from the grill crepes, with your choice of both sweet and savory varieties. Being that I had already had lunch from Piaggio, I decided to check out one of the six dessert crepes that Crepes Bonaparte makes.
Dessert crêpe options are as follows.
HazelBerryAna – Strawberry, Banana & Nutella
Le Classique – Strawberry or Banana, Nutella & Whipped Cream
All desserts are $3.99 (with a $0.99 ice cream addition option). The most expensive crepes on the menu at $4.99.
I have the PCH on a wheat crepe. But instead of chocolate I had Nutella. I’d never had Nutella before, but I could see myself enjoying spoonfuls of those stuff now that I have. The crepe was really hot, almost too hot for my sensitive fingers, but I manned up and dealt with it, I mean I was eating a crepe, I’m lucky it wasn’t a quiche! The crepe was fantastic, but is there anything better than a bunch of yummy sweet stuff wrapped in anything? The Nutella and honey mixed wonderfully, although I wish the banana pieces were bigger. The PCH was the perfect end to a very good filling lunch. I’d love to check out their savory crepes in the future and finish it off with another PCH!
Crepes Bonaparte also provides custom crepe stations at private parties and events.
