I was lucky enough to be in the vicinity of the Dos Chinos truck this morning as I was making my morning rounds at the Old Towne Orange Farmers and Artisans Market. But before I share my delicious breakfast burrito I wanted to share my other treats I got from the market.
I always make it a priority to pick up some bread from Dean at OC Baking Company, he makes some of the best bread in the county and provides bread to a number of local restaurants, including Haven Gastropub!
Right next to them at the market is Sweet Lilikoi Patisserie, they make some sinfully delectable treats such as an amazing chocolate crunch cake and chocolate croissants. You can order anything on their products list and pick it up at the market!
These are just two of the amazing places that sell their wares at our farmers market.
As for Dos Chinos I ordered the pretty good tasting Stoner Burrito, which basically has everything and the kitchen sink in it (Roasted Pork Belly, Chorizo, Rib Eye, Rice, and two over easy eggs). The burrito was quite good but I felt that it would have done better with either no rice or differently prepared rice. The way the rice was prepared it felt like that store package type that say it’s Spanish rice from Old El Paso. Next time I will just make sure I order no rice on the burrito.
Dos Chinos is at various locations throughout the week, I highly suggest you check them out if you get a chance!
The Old Towne Orange Farmers and Artisans Market will be celebrating their 1 year anniversary next Saturday and will be having special giveaways throughout the day along with some special guests.
