El Farolito – Placentia Review #2 Breakfast

I’ve been going to El Farolito in Placentia for the past couple years, ever since I found it when I started working in Anaheim.  I’m very seldom let down, and it’s the perfect type of authentic to me Mexican food to break up a long day at work.  But up until this past weekend I had never tasted anything on their breakfast menu.  Fortunately for me, I was doing chores on Saturday that required me to be in the vicinity of El Farolito, so I was able to discover that they don’t only make good lunch and dinners, but they also make good breakfasts.

I ordered the chilaquiles which come along with beans and rice.  First off El Farolito’s beans and rice never fail, they always have just the right flavor and are never too salty.  As for the chilaquiles, they were good, just the right amount of heat for my morning wake up call.  Oh and I don’t care what the food police says, I love getting chips and salsa at Mexican restaurants, and it’s even more of a plus when you get them for breakfast!

Service was really good, my waitress was very attentive and kept checking on both my meal and my drink.
