Coming August 1st is Orange County’s 1st Cupcake Camp. From their press release.
Orange County’s very first Cupcake Camp would like to personally invite you to an event for cupcake lovers (professional and amateurs) to bake or buy cupcakes to bring or simply come to eat cupcakes and raise money for charity! Cupcake Camp is a gathering born from the desire for people to share and eat cupcakes. It first started in San Francisco and has spanned to over 42 locations worldwide such as New York, Boston, Montreal, Paris, and soon to Orange County.
A couple months ago, Cupcake Camp Seattle held their first Cupcake Camp and had nearly 1000 people in attendance with 70 Bakers and 5,000 Cupcakes. They were able to raise $5,276.50 for the Hope Heart Institute.
Cupcake Camp OC will take place on August 1, 2010 at the Atrium Hotel in Irvine and expect to attract over 500 cupcake enthusiasts from the O.C. community. Our efforts for this year will be to raise awareness and funds to fight human trafficking.
