Down the street from my main day job in Anaheim was a place called Miraloma Coffee and Tea, I never went there and they closed. \u00a0Recently a new restaurant opened in the same place with a similar name, Miraloma Cafe. \u00a0After recently seeing that Orange County Register<\/a> had been there I figured it was worth the quick drive to check it out last week.<\/p>\n

Being that I’m a fan of Pastrami Reuben sandwiches I decided to try their take at my favorite sandwich.<\/p>\n

The sandwich was piled high with pastrami, pickles in place of\u00a0sauerkraut, swiss cheese, and yellow mustard. \u00a0I liked the taste of the pastrami, I’m figuring it was probably Boar’s Head brand, and the pickles put a unique twist on one of my favorite types of sandwiches. \u00a0I’d place it somewhere in the middle of pack when it comes to comparing it to all the Reuben’s I have had. As you may be able to tell from the picture I asked for the bread to be toasted if it had not been toasted I fear it may have been too thin to hold up to the weight of what was inside it.<\/p>\n

Served along with the sandwich was a small side of deli style cole slaw complete with raisins, I wish there had been more I really liked the cole slaw. \u00a0Overall it was a solid sandwich, but on my next visit I’ll probably try something else.<\/p>\n
