One of my favorite times of the year is Labor day, because not only do I get a three day weekend, but I also get to drink delicious beer and eat food from a large assortment of countries and the Orange International Street Fair<\/a>!\u00a0 What?\u00a0 You say you’ve never heard of it?\u00a0 This is the 36th year of celebration as the City of Orange brings together over 50 charity organizations from around the area to give you tastes of food and drink from around the world.\u00a0 This year’s fair starts Friday August 29th and concludes Sunday August 31st<\/em>.\u00a0 The location is at the Orange Plaza Sqaure, where Chapman and Glassell meet<\/a>.<\/p>\n

There is food, beer, entertainment, beer, children’s activities, beer, music, beer, and beer!\u00a0 It’s really a great event and it helps a lot of local charities.\u00a0 This will be our third year going, it is very convenient living close by since parking is difficult.<\/p>\n

Here is just a sampling of the different foods you can enjoy!<\/p>\n

All American Street – Buffalo Wings, Philly Cheesesteaks, BBQ, Roasted Corn<\/strong>, Frozen Bananas, Beer<\/strong><\/p>\n

Australian Street – Pulled Pork Sandwiches<\/strong>, Jalape\u00f1o Pickles, Beer<\/strong><\/p>\n

Danish Street – Danish Doughnuts<\/strong>, Fruit Jams, Pastries (I wonder if they are danishes?), Beer<\/strong><\/p>\n

English Street – Fish and Chips, Beer<\/p>\n

German Street – Bratwurst<\/strong>, Sauerkraut<\/strong>, Ice Tea, Beer<\/strong><\/p>\n

Irish Street – Irish Nachos, Beer<\/strong><\/p>\n

Mexican Street – Burritos, Taquitos, Chimichangas, Mexican Corn, Mexican Beer<\/strong><\/p>\n

Swiss Street – Bratwurst<\/strong>, Polish Sausage (I thought they were from Poland), Spicy Swiss Sausage, Lemonade, Beer<\/strong><\/p>\n

That is just about half of what you can except at this year.\u00a0 Look for me on Sunday with my entourage hanging out at Irish Street while the great local Orange County band, The American Wake<\/a> rocks out!<\/p>\n

And remember it’s all for a good cause, the city of Orange does a fantastic job every year.<\/p>\n
