Sorry about the last 2 months and the lack of posts\/reviews.\u00a0 As some of you may have read my wife and I were in the process of purchasing a house.\u00a0 We closed escrow on 01\/15\/2009, moved in on 02\/07\/09, and as of today we have Internet, TV, and Digital Phone service installed throughout our house!\u00a0 So expect reviews to start appearing soon as I catch back up.\u00a0 But in the mean time I will leave you all with this.<\/p>\n

We went to Rooster Cafe<\/a> in Costa Mesa for breakfast yesterday, we both enjoyed our breakfast burritos, I ordered it with both bacon and the Portuguese sausage, while Mrs. DanGarion ordered hers with the sausage and no egg.\u00a0 We both approve and thought they were good.\u00a0 The egg in mine was cooked perfect, it wasn’t burnt and rubbery like some places are, it was light and fluffy, and the freshly prepared simple salsa is great!<\/p>\n

On Valentine’s Day my wife took me to Five Crowns<\/a> in Corona del Mar, she had the Caesar salad and rotisserie chicken, and Gorgonzola potatoes au-gratin, she liked both.\u00a0 The salad come with a large Parmesan crisp that was delicious both in and out of the salad, the potatoes had a nice kick from the blue cheese.\u00a0 I had the French onion soup, Five Crowns cut of prime rib, and the macaroni and cheese.\u00a0 The soup wasn’t the best I’ve had but it was ok, horseradish cream was great that they serve with the prime rib, and all the rest of the meal was really good.\u00a0 To finish it off we had the three chocolate souffl\u00e9.<\/p>\n

Other then that we’ve had lots of other meals but not many that I can really remember, I was disappointed with the grilled meatloaf that I ordered from Mimi’s Cafe last night, I think they are losing their touch, they really used to be one of the best chain places, but my last couple visits have been marred by lackluster food and some below average service.<\/p>\n
