Last week for lunch I went to Gourmet Burger in Anaheim, by recommendation from reviews on Yelp<\/a>.\"img_0413.jpg\"<\/a> They specialize in Halal meat which is the Muslim way of preparing meat.\u00a0 I won’t get into the specifics but there is some controversy about Halal preparation of meat, you’ll need to read about it yourself if you want.\u00a0 Anyway Gourmet Burgers is just around the corner from my office and I was in the mood of a burger.<\/p>\n

Their menu consists of the typical burger joint meals along with some Muslim style meals as well (kabobs, etc).\u00a0 They have the standard fare burgers but also some specialty burgers as well that they prepare with extra things on them.\u00a0 I ordered the Onion Straw Burger\"img_0410.jpg\"<\/a> which consisted of a burger with some onion rings on it, along with chipotle mayo.\u00a0 Along with that I had an order of onion rings.\u00a0 Overall the burger was OK, nothing special but it was nice to see that the meat was fresh and that the patty was a handmade not the preformed machine things you get from most places.\u00a0 the meat was really juicy and good size, but burger was fairly average.\u00a0 The onion rings were average as well.\u00a0 For the most part it was a average meal with a great burger patty.\u00a0 I would like to try some of the other “gourmet” burgers they have when I’m looking for a burger and I’m in my Anaheim office.<\/p>\n\n

The service was nice, both the girl that helped me and the owner were very kind and made me feel appreciated.\u00a0 I would come here again in the future.<\/p>\n

Bacon fans beware there is no BACON!<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n
