{"id":772,"date":"2009-06-26T12:25:47","date_gmt":"2009-06-26T19:25:47","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/eatinoc.com\/?p=772"},"modified":"2009-06-26T12:25:47","modified_gmt":"2009-06-26T19:25:47","slug":"garlic-jos-newport-beach","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/inocnetwork.com\/eatinorange\/oc-food-reviews\/garlic-jos-newport-beach\/","title":{"rendered":"Garlic Jo&#8217;s &#8211; Newport Beach"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a class=\"thickbox\" title=\"Garlic Jo's - Menu Cover\" href=\"http:\/\/eatinoc.com\/wp-content\/gallery\/garlic-jos\/img_0495-1.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"ngg-singlepic ngg-left\" src=\"http:\/\/eatinoc.com\/wp-content\/gallery\/garlic-jos\/thumbs\/thumbs_img_0495-1.jpg\" alt=\"img_0495-1\" \/><\/a>We went to Garlic Jo&#8217;s in Newport Beach two weeks ago on a Saturday.\u00a0 I honestly wasn&#8217;t that blown away by their use of garlic.\u00a0 Maybe it&#8217;s because we already use a lot of garlic at home when we cook, but I was expecting more.<\/p>\n<p><a class=\"thickbox\" title=\"Garlic Jo's - Garlic Chicken\" href=\"http:\/\/eatinoc.com\/wp-content\/gallery\/garlic-jos\/img_0500-1.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"ngg-singlepic ngg-right\" src=\"http:\/\/eatinoc.com\/wp-content\/gallery\/garlic-jos\/thumbs\/thumbs_img_0500-1.jpg\" alt=\"img_0500-1\" \/><\/a>Mrs. DanGarion had the Original Garlic Chicken ($14.95), I liked it and finished half of it for her, it was the only thing we had bursting with garlic!<\/p>\n<p>I had the Garlic Beef Fried Rice ($10.95) and it was just sort of average, plus for being what I observed as an entree it didn&#8217;t really seem like much.\u00a0 Would be better if you could order it as a side for a &#8220;real entree.<a class=\"thickbox\" title=\"Garlic Jo's - Garlic Beef Fried Rice\" href=\"http:\/\/eatinoc.com\/wp-content\/gallery\/garlic-jos\/img_0502-1.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"ngg-singlepic ngg-left\" src=\"http:\/\/eatinoc.com\/wp-content\/gallery\/garlic-jos\/thumbs\/thumbs_img_0502-1.jpg\" alt=\"img_0502-1\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Lastly we had the Garlic Ice Cream which was loaded with some the thickest whipped cream I can remember, but really didn&#8217;t have much &#8220;homemade&#8221; garlic taste, the vanilla overpowered any garlic that happened to be in it.<\/p>\n<p>Service was really good, the waiter was nice.<\/p>\n\n<p>[xrr rating=3\/5]<\/p>\n<p>Garlic Jo&#8217;s<br \/>\n2332 W.
